| Blazerunner was, just as his name suggested, very good at running. However, he wasn’t the best at hiding, and the kittens all loved him for it. In his short few years of existence, he’d bee put in charge of the younglings. He'd been told it was because of his skills with the younglings, but he thought it was just because he was the youngest member of the denn, closest to kittenhood himself, and therefore not trusted to gather food or defend the denn yet. He neglected to consider the fact that he was also the silliest buck in the denn; a trait that the Lead buck and doe thought would make him perfect for the kitsitting job. Which it did, actually.
"I found you!" a small voice cried out, and Blaze had a split second to squeak theatrically before he was pounced on by not one, but three kittens in quick succession. Nope, not very good at hiding at all. "Aurgh!" he cried out as he was tackled, and fell to the ground, play wrestling with the kittens. "Help! I’m being attacked! An army of vicious hunters has found my hiding place!" he cried out, which, of course, only brought the rest of the kits. After a moment he was covered in a mass of writhing fur, like a giant, giggling blanket. Blazerunner loved his life. Twin pairs of antlers knocked and crashed against each other, apparently locked in combat mortal. The two Virina Miir the antlers belonged to were approximately the same age, though one seemed to have the advantage of being extra large for his age, while the other was a little smaller than normal. That didn’t bother the smaller one, however, and he fought with just as much vigor, throwing his full weight into the battle, then suddenly performing a small hop-sidestep to the left and twisting his body, throwing his opponent to the ground. Lucky for him it was a special arena, with soft grass cushioning his impact. The looser stood, looking somewhat surprised, and, after they bowed to each other, left the field. It was a good fight, even if it was just a mock battle. Keilam scuffed his hoof and raised his head proudly; he’d one this one. He’d lost the last five, but that was nothing. He’d won this one. For a moment, he stood there, victorious, until he heard soft giggles behind him. He turned quickly and twitched his long, tufted tail. Females. Hmph! Spoil his fun would they? He sulked for a while, then shrugged it off. It didn’t matter today. It was a good day already. He’d won his first fight, it was a sunny day, food was plentiful, all in all, he was one happy Miir. A soft hissing sound permeated the rough-hewn hollow where Hisahshenikk lounged. He assumed it would be one of his pack's females come calling, and shrugged mentally. There was nothing wrong with that. If she made a wrong move he'd kill her. It was not a female. A large male advanced on his position, moving in quick, low, threatening jerks. Hisahshenikk was instantly on the alert, though there was nothing he could do that would change the outcome of what this male wanted. Still, he stood and arched his back, hissing loudly in a pitch that ranged so high it threatened to crack the crystalline rocks that lined the floor. The other answered in kind, his tail lashing, then shrieked at him. That was a bad sign. Hisahshenikk struck first, hoping to surprise his attacker, but in vain; the larger, more experienced male lashed out with a claw and slashed his face viciously, cutting into and permanently blinding one eye, whether by chance and luck, or by intent. Startled, the young Saurokk threw himself at the male, slashing and tearing savagely with both claws and beak, even bringing his precious hunting hind claws into play in his berserk rage. At the end, one male was left standing over the body of his fallen pack mate, bloody and panting. Hisahshenikk drew himself up and left; apparently he was now considered an adult, and moved out of his hatching pack, ready to begin his life. Did you say everything you could?
