Finding a Mate
Though not all Suva take mates, those that do choose one partner and stick to them for life. Even if half of the pair dies, it's uncommon, though not unheard of, for the other half to find a new mate.
If a pair of Suva want to be recognised as a mated couple, the two dragons should, of course, both agree to the arrangement, and both of the caretakers must seperately contact me with the below information. Please be sure to put 'Suva Pairing Form' somewhere in the subject line of the email so I don't think it's spam and delete it.

The Form:
Caretaker: (the suva's bonded/companion if not you)
Email:
Your Suva: (name and URL)
Mated To: (name and URL)

Again, please make sure that both caretakers contact me, and please update your suva's stats accordingly; there will need to be a link to their mate's page listed in the stat table.

Clutches and Caches
As mentioned briefly in the anatomy section, Suva lay relatively few eggs per clutch. However, as they tend to group when laying, this increases both the number of young born in any given season and the protection of said young. An extended clutch can be anywhere from one to five eggs. Good care early on and thruought a suva's life can and often does ensure larger clutch sizes, and healthier hatchlings.
Suva all clutch at about the same time, so most of them gather together for the safety of the next generation. Such a gathering of suva and their clutches is refferred to as a 'Cache.'
Because of this, mated pairs of Suva can only lay eggs when it is announced through the mailing list that a Cache is Open.
Once your suva has found a mate, they are free to join in every round of caches if they like. To join a cache either one or both members of a pair may reply to the announcement, or, after the announcement is sent out, send me an email with the following. Once more, make sure 'Suva' is in the subject line somewhere, and be sure, before you send in the form, that I've opened the cache. The parent(s) who apply will recieve one egg automatically, which means if you apply for one of your dragons to join the cache, you will recieve an egg. The other parent will only recieve their egg if they also email me to let me know that they want it and are able to take care of it.

'Preschool' and Family Lines
In the wild of the Realm, Suva who want their hatchlings adopted out send the eggs to Oracle, the ancient representative of her namesake Calling that you see on the main frame of this site. Oracle cares for them up until hatching and through a week or so afterward, teaching the young ones the basics of their alignment. You know. Good and evil, right and wrong, and a Suva's rightful place in the spectrum. (Lets not forget that Suva are, without exception, of good alignment.) The hatchlings come away with a general foundation upon which they base the rest of their actions and lives, but as they're so young, they take away few distinct memories of their time in "preschool".
Parents of Suva born out of realm (extended generations) have the choice of sending their eggs to Oracle for teaching before having them sent out to adopters, or teaching the hatchlings themselves. Those with definate ideas about how they would like their children to grow are more likely to choose the latter, trying to start a sort of family business.
Due to the fact that Suva are intelligent, strong, and capable, their species has remained basically unchanged for the many centuries that they've roamed the worlds. But being extremely adaptable creatures imbued with a certain natural capacity for magic, some say that could change.
Who knows what might happen, for example, if an entire family line of Suva were to pursue the same Calling one after another? If perhaps a Crusader were to raise their child to also be a Crusader, and they their child, and the next the same... who's to say that it might not begin to show in the form of larger, more warriorlike offspring with thicker hides, stronger horns, more powerful claws? Or mightn't a Suva born to a long line of healers grow up with never before seen powers to cure the sick? And one can only imagine what would happen if something nearly impossible were to somehow work itself, like a family line of Angels...
But, of course, it's probably just a rumor... right?
